What are good munchies to eat?

Friday, September 10, 2010

There are times when my job is really slow. During that time I can't leave and I get cravings for food. I am guessing out of boredom. What do you all suggest I eat? What is the least caloric and least fat food that you all crave and eat?

Can you guess what's on my mind?

I pack baby carrots and hummus. I like it because I can munch on it for a long time and it has lots of fiber - it keeps me going until dinner!

Protien Yogurt 'Pudding'! 6oz Plain FF Greek yogurt with 8g (quarter of the envelope) fatfree/sugarfree pudding of your choice. I love the cheesecake flavor cuz when you mix it in the yogurt it gets thick and stiff just like cheesecake!!! Bonus - 18g protein and only 125 cals!!

Same here Olga - I like almonds, reduced fat cheese sticks (like string cheese/mozzarella or colby - Sargento has good ones), Luna bars, fruit, pretzels (count out ONE serving and only pack that many), yogurt, shelled edamame, veggies and reduced fat T. Marzetti dip (I like dill), Fiber One bars....hope that gives you a few ideas!

Personally, I don't like 100 calorie packs - they just make me crave more to eat.

How bout a Kashi TLC bar? I LOVE the Cherry Dark Chocolate! Maybe some Kashi crackers with some laughing cow cheese, trail mix, nuts, apple with peanut butter, yogurt & berries, rice krispie treat (90 cals), slice of whole wheat bread with a TBSP of peanut butter, banana and peanut butter, Jello sugar free pudding or jello. Hope these help!
