Yesterday we got back on track and put on our running shoes. The last few days we had some house guests, so we were not able to stick to our normal active lifestyle. Then on Monday, I had a terrible sinus infection, so I slept half a day. Then maintenance staff came to fix some things in our household (which we have been waiting to get done for over 80 days). So busy! Thankfully we decided to get back out and start our training program to jump onto the schedule again.
Wednesday it was gorgeous outside - chilly but still picture perfect. Sunny with around 70 degree weather is the best running weather! After a a short 1/2 mile warm-up we ran 5 miles without any stops. The hubster was feeling his knees hurt a little but that was from standing at work the whole day (which he usually doesn't have to do...). I was feeling great though! Since he is usually faster than me, it was nice to be in front of him for once. ^_^ We took our pace as were supposed to and went ahead at around an average pace of 11:06. The last 1/2-1 mile we really kicked it out and were going around 9/mile. It was just a great run! Nice to get back into it.
