Last week was week 5 of White Rock training.
Mon: 7 medium/hard pace. Check! Started slow, ended up at half marathon pace for the last three miles.
Tues: 3 easy, stretch after. Check!
Wed: 5 x 800, with 2 mi warm up. Check! Pouring rain and loved every second! Ran Yassos with enough ease. Half mile repeats in 3:40 minutes with a fourth mile cool down in between
Thurs: off Check!
Fri: 7 pace Check!
Sat: 14 LSD, maybe with fast finish, but I finished fast last week and don't want to overdo it. Check! Fast finish, marathon pace last two miles with hills. Great confidence boost.
Sun: 3 easy, lift after. Check!
I'm well into Week 6. The plan:
Mon: 7 easy-ish pace. Check! Finished too fast, but didn't hold back because it felt so great! Ended at 10k pace.
Tues: 5 mile tempo run. Check! Middle was 10k pace.
Wed: Off
Thurs: 7 Pace, 5 am before we leave.
Fri: 16 LSD, in Colorado somewhere. :)
Off: Flying to Hawaii!! :)
Can't wait for Hawaii, but I must admit I'm a little stressed about working my runs into our vacation! I will definitely get up as early as need be!!
