Week 1 DONE - ahhhh

Last night at midnight ended my 1st week back on SP, my 1st week back trying to eat well, my 1st week back trying to exercise, my 1st week back getting off my butt and most importantly my 1st week to a new healthier me.

Since I've been on hiatus from life for the past 5 months I figured I'd take it slow and build up so that I wouldn't fail. I set my first weeks goals as this:

Week 1:
Walk - 20 min/5 days
Wii Fit - 2 days
No fast food

Here is what I achieved:

Week 1:
Walk - 20 min/3 days, 30 minutes/2 days
Wii Fit - 2 days
No fast food - 7 days
Weight loss - 1/2 pound

It's not a lot; but it meant that there was time I wasn't sitting on the couch. I didn't eat as well as I should have as I made the mistake of buying 3 lbs of my favorite locally made cheese and then eating it all in 3 days (ugh). I also did a bit of "carbo loading" - okay it wasn't like athletes do it was just me craving carbs and shoving them down my throat.

I am proud of the making it through the 1st week and am heading into week 2 with gusto.

    You did awesome! I'm trying to walk every day now too. I started out walking, and was pretty successful. When I started all that fancy crap (P90X every day of the week) I eventually got burnt out and just...quit everything. Back to the basics :)

    Way to go on finishing your 1st week, and I'd say a 1/2 pound is serious cause for celebration.

    Congrats on your first week success! 1/2 pound is something! Remember it's baby steps, we can't change everything over night, so work on small things one at a time!
