Lecture on Bariactric Surgery

Tuesday, September 07, 2010

I wasn't knowledgable on the subject before hand. Now, I know I DON'T want any of the 4 proceedures done. The list of complications is long and some I've had before from surgeries in the past. Now, I'm back to my own diet of little or NO sugar, low carbs and fruits and veggies with smaller portions and little meat.
Off to the pool today for exercise !

Hi! I agree with you. I lost 72 pounds 11 years ago through healthy eating and exercise. It is something that I realize I will have to work at the rest of my life. emoticon emoticon

I agree with you. Some really do well but too many have complications and that scares me too.

Eating healthy foods and exercise will allow the body to lose the weight in a HEALTHY way, there are no short cuts or substitues. It's a lifestyle change.

I know some people that have had the surgery and they are not the same. Seem to struggle with their health all the time. If our stomachs were supposed to be smaller, we'd be built that way. Vitamins aren't absorbed the same and it's hard to get the proper nutrients to feel good. The weight does come off but at what price??????

There are no shortcuts...healthy eating and exercise are still the best way to go.

    emoticon Wishes to you!

Great call. We can all benefit from eating healthy and exercising daily. I think if we do this well, we'll stay out of the Dr.'s office.

    God bless,
