Burn 1425 Calories in One Hour

Saturday, September 04, 2010

I entered treading water in the cardio workout section. I put in 60 minutes and the counter said I burned 1425 calories. Can that be possible? If so, I am going to choose that as my workout every time. No impact and three times the burn of much harder workouts. It has to be an error.

Yeah that does seem like quite a bit, Your best bet would to be to invest in a heart rate monitor to be completely sure!

I looked around on the internet and depending on your weight and how vigorous your workout was the calorie spread is between 236 & 863. Here is a link to the site I used:

Sorry you have to cut and paste......I don't know how to make it clickable.

I wish your count was true.....I'd be in the pool for hours

That seems like a lot. You can always invest in getting a heart rate monitor to measure your progress. Advantage of an HRM is that it'll also tell you when you are out of your most effective heart rate zone.
