Perseverance - feel great

Here I am...almost 1.5 years since I first found this site. I've struggled and managed to lose 25 lbs. It makes such a difference. The most important thing I've learned is that food only addresses hunger...it can't fix anything else...stay with your uncomfortable feelings such as anger, anxiety or whatever and they will either pass or you'll do something about them. If you rush to overeat, you never really fix what's really bugging you. Summer is almost over...been nice...cheers to Fall and new beginnings.

    This is soooo true. Growing up, food was always tied to emotions in my household. Baking chocolate chip cookies when we were bored, Blizzards from the DQ after a heartbreak, sandwiches and popcorn to relax and spend time with the family....

I guess I have some good memories surrounding emotional eating, but it sure does lead to weight gain!
