My goal is to eliminate "sweets" and focus on adding more fruits and vegetables. The challenge goes from September 1st to October 1st (and who knows from there). I am hoping that once I complete a full month that the desire for "sweets" goes from gotta have it to I'll give it a try or NOT.
Prayers are accepted for both me and anyone who has contact with me during this month.
1. Pudding (milk based)
2. Unsweetened cocoa powder
3. Crystal light drink packets
4. Sweets that incorporate some sort of nutrition. Such as a strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries and vanilla yogurt.
6. Fruit Juice
7. Soda (including diet)
9. Other Sugary Snacks (candy)
10. Chips (baked lays or pretzels)
By the end of the month you won't believe how your tastebuds will change. I found it very very hard to give up soda. After about 6 mos, I couldn't stand it any longer and took a sip of my granddaughter's Coke. It was TOO sweet! The battle isn't in your tastebuds or your belly---it's in your mind! 2578 days ago
Great idea and I know you can do it. I know I did that for Lent once and it started out hard but I made it and really felt good, I wish I never had that first bite. Time to do it again. Good Luck 2606 days ago
This looks hard but sounds like a great plan. Good luck to you! I wish i could keep sweet out of the house, but that's impossible with 2 toddlers and 1 school aged child running around here. Best wishes to you 2606 days ago
It will get easier! Just by not keeping it in the house, it will be easy. Thats what I do. I rarely purchase sweets, and when I do I "live a little" hah ha. It shows me how out of control I was, when I have them again. By not buying chips, even on sale (as lays were yesterday for the ig bag $1.88!) I also spare myself major dissapointment. You should add sugar free candies to your okay list. i have sugar free life savers, and they are great, when you want something sweet. It helps to curb it. They have werthers sugar free also. Thats my new thing. Because I had begun to have little treats come into the house too frequently. A couple times a week is an eye opener. It will get easier! I am gonna pray for you! Shalom and God bless ya :) Pk 2606 days ago
