Living Life Like a 2 Year Old

Monday, August 30, 2010

Wouldn't it be nice if we lived every day like a toddler does? Waking up each morning with joy and wonderment. Bouncing on the bed with abandonment, waiting for someone to come fetch us. When that someone walks in, arms reaching out for that big hug.

If we lived life like a two year old we would be constantly moving, climbing things just because they are there to climb. We would not be afraid to do things because we don't know things can hurt us or things are bad for us. Every day there would be something new for us to discover and conquer.

Living life like a two year old.........I'm in favor of it! I want to find that joy each day, to be curious, adventurous and excited for the day instead of groaning about work or money or my weight. So starting today it's life at full speed. Just like a two year old! Now who's ready for a hug?

I liked your post, but when I first saw the title, I thought, "Yeah, that's me, alright. Wanting cookies and candy all the time!" Of course, a two-year-old doesn't know about nutrition and wouldn't be given sweets all day long. That's where I'm different; I do know what I should do, yet I've given myself sweets instead of healthy foods for decades! emoticon Now it has become a habit, and I keep 'starting over.' emoticon

Sending you hugs today...I always laugh about the energy in my 3 and 5 year olds, and how rich I would be if I could bottle it LOL

I'll take a hug anytime! My eight year old grandson that lives with me is still like that to an extent. He runs to the car after school and on the way home tells me all about his day and it's such a joy to know that he is a happy child. And here's a hug for you too!
