August Update

Monday, August 30, 2010

Well, I guess it's time to post another blog....hard to believe that I haven't done this since June!

It is now 6-1/2 months since my surgery. The summer has been going well. I'm now down another two sizes in most of my clothing...the latest size change I didn't even realize I'd accomplished until I had to purchase an outfit for a wedding this past weekend. That was certainly a pleasant surprise. I don't remember wearing this size in about 20 years

Since surgery, I'm down about 60lbs and a total of 121lbs since starting the journey....but still have about the same amount still to lose. My biggest challenge is getting in enough calories, especially on the really hot, humid days.

On September 12th, I'm about to aim to reach my first fitness walk a 2km Charity Walk in support of the Parkinson's Society. They also have a 5km...but I'm not sure I'm quite ready for that yet.

I feel better than I have in years....mentally, physically and emotionally! I'm so glad I made the decision to have the RNY!

Your doing great! You go girl! On those days that I don't eat much, I make sure I get in the protein with shakes. Then I don't worry about it.
