BIG Ol' Reward, awesome start to a new semester!

Monday, August 30, 2010

So...Cory and I decided to go to an Asian buffet last night for dinner. I totally pigged out and don't regret it one bit! We have had talks of going ever since I finished LAST semester, about 3 months ago!! So, we decided to go last night as a celebration of the new semester! He decided to get back in school, so this was a worthy celebration! I'm so excited for him; he's beginning the classes to become a mechanic and I'm so thrilled! He's going to love it. It's just an intro Automotive class and he probably already knows a lot of the material, but I'm hoping he'll leave the class with some new info and excited for the upcoming semesters! I'm probably more excited about him going than he actually is -- or more than what he's letting on emoticon

Anyways, he had a TON of crab legs. I think he only had that, dessert, and one plate of mongolian BBQ. Ha! I had mongolian BBQ, salad, sushi, cream cheese wontons, roasted chicken, chicken teriyaki, green beans (the BEST!), soup, some beef roast, and even a couple of breaded shrimp (and I DO NOT like shrimp typically!). I tried ONE hot and spicy mussel and while the taste wasn't bad, the texture was! I just cannot develop a taste for seafood, but hopefully the breaded shrimp was my "gateway seafood." Had cheesecake for dessert :) I never have cheesecake so I didn't mind! As you can see I totally pigged out but whatever! I'm making smart choices today!!

About the new semester...I'm taking 12 units, which is a lot! Honestly, probably the most I've taken ever! Anatomy, a "survey" of computer science, and a math class (finite math). After reading the syllabus, I'm not freaking out about the computer science class; it really should be a breeze. I'm more nervous about the other two, but if I become overwhelmed I'm going to drop the math class, so be it! I'd rather take a "W" than to hurt my goal I have this semester, though: if I get all A's in my classes then my GPA will go up to a 3.9, which is awesome! Right now it's at a 3.88, which isn't bad at all, but that 3.9 would be even better :)
