Thanks, Linda, for reminding us that mobility still exists when reaction time isn't up to current road speeeds!
It's also an excellent city planning reminder. An adequate bus system for the handicapped isn't enough: maintaining the integrity of local neighborhoods small enough for walking and biking is important for both children and their great-grandparents, and we are very lucky these days, sometimes, to meet our great-grandparents in person. I didn't get to know my great-grandmother well, but it was an honor to know her.
