After reading my response to one of the chat topics, I decided I'd copy it to my blog because I feel it will motivate me even more each time I feel I need to read it. :)
I've gained 6 pounds over the summer and not all at once. Just ever so gradually. I just let my guard down with all our programs at work that offer food and I'm too busy to make my own, etc., etc. Could make excuses till the cows come home. Bottom line, I've never lost the conscious effort to maintain... it eats at me daily. That's a good thing because it keeps me aware. So....
1. To remotivate I began today by giving my SP facepage a facelift. New colors, new picture and updated my info and goals - even new tracker icons.
2. I remeasured myself and entered the slight increases as well as my weight increase rather than keep the lower numbers I once earned. I was honest with myself.
3. I intend to be totally honest with my nutritional tracker. Really.... I can lie to myself on a few calories here and there but that only hurts me...so EVERY morsel and beverage will be once again accounted for because THAT makes a HUGE difference.
4. I plan to start back on my strength exercises this evening. I worked hard in my yard this summer but no matter what....it isn't the same as exercising all the muscle groups.
I'm excited and renewed to get back into this full blast and lose that last 10 pounds. I've made a realistic goal to reach 150 by end of Oct.
Just start over and don't look back.
