The catfish are about a ft and a half now and there's also nice sized blue gill and bass. They are breeding very nicely in this pond....Yeah....lots of protein here. As long as I don't start giving them names, I'll be okay. lol XO MaryAnn
For all of you wondering how long the bridge is.....It's 40 feet. It's getting nice and cool here and this past week, our son was home. We had lots of fun fishing out there. We don't eat the bass, but the catfish are protein and omega 3's at it's best. No pets out there. Thanks for all your nice comments and your support and love shown on my blogs and page! Beautiful. My mother had a Koi pond that my older brother built for her. She loved sitting by it feeding "Charlie" and his brothers and sisters. I loved to visit and sit by it with her it was so tranquil. I have a smaller pond (more manageable) that has basically turned into just a water plant conversation piece in my yard. Every time I tried to clean it I ended up killing my fish - so I gave that up and got an aquarium - haaaaa. Next year I am looking forward to re-tooling the pond and starting again.
I wonder if I would ever leave this pond area if I was around! Soooo Cool!! How do you manage taking care of All these chores? With a lot of hard work I guess. And a lot more love for sure! KUDOS A!!
