Good Friday Sparkfam!
Its a beautiful day here in Chicago. I call it the calm before the storm. It about 80degrees & sunny. This is a perfect summer day to me but I do like slight breezes & yet we have none today in the Windy City. lol
So last Saturday while shopping I picked up a frozen bag dinner of Bertolli's Tuscan Braised Beef with gold potatoes. It also has red & green peppers & onions & the potatoes are plentiful! I made this for my hubby & son on Saturday cause we were being lazy & waited until 8pm to try to decide what to eat? Well I put in a bowl & microwaved it (I know I am such a bad wife & mother) but it was so quick. It was so good I just liked having the gravy & veggies. Let me tell you the family enjoyed it very much. Racking my brain on what to cook last night, I went by Jewel (food store) & picked up 2 bags.
While watching Burn Notice I cooked those babies up & made white rice. I didn't have any brown rice which would have been healthier but you can also add more veggies. Which is a huge thing with me these days to get my vegetables intake up. I do it to my soups as well & it makes the soup a meal than a palette cleanser or broth. When they came home I put rice & then put the Bertollis on top & they thought we were have pepper steak & rice but the beef is soooooo tender. . . .ahhhhhhhhhh
Last night I was supposed to do Cathe's Kick Punch & Crunch but at last someone unplugged the DirectTv cable. So I had to play mom, wife, cook & repair woman too. lol
So I got lazy while watching the boob tube & just sat there. Well I got myself up, watched Joyce for inspiration, meditated on Psalms 57 Be merciful unto me, O God! Now that's some good stuff & meaty! Then put on my workout clothes & pressed play. I didn't want to do it but I knew I had to & after that I did, All Star Workouts Pilates Sculpt with 5lb weights. Thats always a good workout & slow paced & you will feel it. I'm working on the Quick Fire Challenge to do chair squats & later tonight it Legs & Glutes to wrap up a high intense workout week. Tomorrow will be cleaning, grocery shopping & yoga so its a lighter day.
