ON ATKINS 1 WEEK 3 DAYS....

I HAD A COUPLE OF VERY TIRED DAYS LAST WEEK AS EXPECTED. I FELT A LITTLE BORED AND RESENTFUL TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY RELATED TO THE DIET. BUT TODAY I CAME HERE TO SP AND SEARCHED. I FOUND ONE TEAM, GOT ADVICE FROM A MEMBER RIGHT AWAY, WENT TO HER PAGE, FOLLOWED HER TEAMS AND IT WENT FROM THERE. I'M NOW ON A BUNCH OF TEAMS FOR HIGH PROTEIN LOW CARB PLANS AND I'M FEELING SUPPORTED AND CHALLENGED.
IF ONLY SP HAD AN EMPLOYMENT AGENCY ATTACHED!

    If only Dr Atkins were still alive! He passed in 2003 after falling on ice in an April snowstorm in NY. About a month before he died my friend and I got to meet him at a seminar he was giving in a nearby town; Torrance, CA. He was a kind individual and very fatherly. He gave us samples and did book signing. It was FUN to meet him and I was very sorry when I heard of his death. (See pic in my gallery) I even wrote a blog about him. It helps to re-read his book "Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution." Keeps me focused and it will do the same hopefully for you too.

    Today was my first full day on atkins, its hard but so worth it. Back in april I was going really strong on it and I felt amazing. Best of luck!

  I have been on Atkins the same about as you have. I am feeling good. I do have more energy and mentally I feel happier. Keep up the fight. It will be worth it in the end and you can look back and see the hard fight you fought. Good luck.

    Too funny about the employment agency....but maybe you are on to something there.

I hope you find the support you need from those groups.

Having been on South Beach diet before (it isn't atkins but the first two weeks are very low carb), I know that it takes about a week before your body just gets used to less of 'em. It will happen. Just make sure that you are eating enough.

And that you are not just eating the same proteins over and over and over again. I found it all too easy to get in a rut. And liked it much better when I mixed in a variety.
