I love sitting on my deck in the early morning and enjoying the sunshine and breeze. In one direction I see our gazebo with all its flowers and early on the morning glories in bloom. In the other direction I can look out to the distant hills and trees. My pets always come to visit me--a cat and dog we have adopted--their enthusiasm for life and need for affection always make me feel good.
Today is especially good for me because I have been able to get back to the gym the last two days. I have had to curtail my walking and stay off my feet for a few days until I got Dr.'s clearance to exercise again. I have hammer toes and one of them got infected--so, I have been on heavy doses of antibiotics to turn my bright red toe back to normal color.
Not being able to do anything but some upper body strength has been really hard for me after getting used to regular vigorous cardio. So--when my doctor okayed the recumbent trainer for use again (still have to restrict my walking) I was thrilled--and have taken full advantage of it. I don't want to let anything get in the way of reaching my goal of 100 lbs. lost by February 2011. So--I was doubly thrilled to lose a couple pounds in the last two days.
This morning I did my usual sparking, then put on some of my favorite music and went out to enjoy the deck with my cup of green tea in hand. I am one grateful puppy--and I am blessed.
I hope you find something to rejoice in today--I know every day will not be like this one, but I am loving it while it is here. Life is too short to live less than fully each day that we are granted breath. So--love, enjoy, cherish each moment today.
