A big hello and hugs to all my spark friends. I hope you all are on track and doing well!! I have been coming on and reading blogs but just have been so crazy at work to post.
So i signed my ten year old son up and my thirteen year old daughter for my gym. The other day was our first work out. I started them easy, the three of us were lined up on the treadmills. My daughter ran for ten whole minutes and my son was so cute. He didnt even know how to walk on it. His earplugs kept falling out and i had to help him so i didnt get much of a workout myself but it was a great feeling. Us doing this together. We all have about thirty more pounds to lose so we turned it into a competition.
Their pediatrician has a program that they got into with monthly meetings basically with different topics portion control, school lunch things relevant to their age. I have noticed they are really watching what they eat and i dont buy any bad snacks anymore.
They have both lost two pounds already and they were so excited!! The dont look really heavy but my husband has a bad health history so i want them to take care of themselves. It also motivates me, i have been slacking on the exercise. WE go tomorrow night again and this time i think they are ready for an hour on the treadmill, i am so excited.
it is such a hard thing especially for my thirteen year old. I dont want her to have body issues. My ten year old will be getting so much taller so i told him if he just watches and is active he will slim down. My daughter is already as tall as me and im 5 8 so I dont know how much taller she will get.
