I've had so many failed attempts at a decent sleep schedule that I'd finally given up hope of changing my night owl habits. But now I'm willing to try again, and this time I have a reason to go to bed and get up early.
I inquired at the local animal (cat) shelter about volunteering, and the woman indicated that they need help in the mornings. The morning chores sound like a lot of work, but I'm game. The only thing I'm not sure of is if I can be up, dressed and ready for the world before 8am (the time she indicated).
With me, you're lucky to see me awake before noon. And here I am, saying I'm interesting in helping out with the morning work. I could've asked for the easier afternoon job, but I think I wanted the challenge of the morning (plus they really need the extra help in the mornings).
I'm still waiting for the volunteer application and other papers from the shelter, but I'm very excited. Not only will I be helping out with the kitties, but I'll also have a reason not to sleep the day away.
Anyway, I definitely need to work on my sleep schedule now. I'm hoping, since I actually got up at noon, that I'll be able to go to sleep when I go to bed tonight (aiming for 11pm). I don't want a repeat of last night, in which I lied awake for almost 3 hours till the time I usually fall asleep.
So, wish me luck. And if there are any suggestion/tips from my readers...I'd like to hear them.
