Oh My!!!

Having a friend take one to breakfast (for my birthday) is sometimes counter-productive. The last time this occurred I was able to find a yogurt and fruit dish on the menu that allowed me to stick with my normal daily eating plan. BUT ... alas, today was not so easy. The best I could do was a veggie omelet ... even with my bringing about half the meal home I used most of a day's calories at one meal. Aye yi yi yi! Now I am heading out to walk, until I keel over, hoping to counteract the effect of an less than healthy breakfast. :)

    All morning I have been chuckling to myself. Sometimes life and things that happen are almost unbelievable.
I shared my feelings of dismay on my blog, when I was treated to breakfast out yesterday. I was especially careful not to exceed my usual calories through the rest of the day.
With trepidation I stepped on the scales this morning. (Yes, I weigh myself daily.) I almost fell off the scales with laughter, upon seeing that, after 5 weeks of not loosing a pound, TODAY I am another pound closer to my goal. How fun is that?
Thanks again to all who encouraged me yesterday.

    Thanks to each of you who left a message on my blog. I was shocked to find even one response ... but to have three wonderful encouraging comments. You all made my day! You are all right, of course. I almost panicked while entering the food on my food tracker.
I have done well the rest of this day .... walked 4 miles this afternoon ... that helped. :)

Nancy's right... don't fret! You are making healthy choices most of the time. You made the best choice you could make this morning. You only ate half. You counted it all. You're going for a walk. AND, it's your birthday! I'd say you did all the right things.

I suspect your body will just go "huh?", and then move along! Don't let it spoil your day!

I think you did well, D... be proud of yourself! Remember the 80/20 rule, my friend, and just let it go! You'll be just fine - promise!
