I just want to apoligize to all of my wonderful sparkfriends for being MIA. I am in the middle of my busy season and am working twelve hour days and weekends so I just crash at night and havent been able to log on much. I hope you are all perservering and working hard.
I have been semi watching what i eat but i havent been able to exercise at much. Although i havent gained any weight back, i can clearly see that i am not as toned up. The benefit is that it shows me what exercise does for you other than the scale and i have a plan to get back into it.
My two older kids had their physicals for school and the doctor talked to us about putting them in a program/study. They are both overweight. They are not obese but my husband has high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes. etc. so they want to be pro active. They are going to their first meeting today, i think its with a nutritionist who talks to them about choices, exercises etc. I think its sort of like a weight watchers for kids.
The second part of that is I decided to spend the money and sign them both up for my gym. I feel that it will benefit all of us. I wil have exercise buddies and show them a healthy lifestyle (my husband is very inactive). I feel that at their age if they just cut out junk and exercise four times a week, they are goign to get taller and the weight will come off.
