I guess summer is "technically" over since Trey is back in school. He's a senior this year. Where oh where does the time go. It seems like yesterday that I was dropping him off on his first day in Kindergarten! Now he is about to graduate high school and move on to the next phase of his life ....as an adult.
This was his first week of school and also his first week at his new job at Chuck E. Cheese's. His hours are Mon-Fri after school. I can say that I have been sleeping much better knowing that he is at work and not out with his friends doing Lord knows what! He told me that he really likes his job. He's already gotten to wear the Chuck E. costume and do a little dance and interact with the kids. Anyway, I hope he has fun with it.
Well...last weekend I had another rough patch eating wise. Friday night my mom hosted a girls night Farkle party at her house. We had such a blast. I drank entirely too much, but didn't eat anything. And there was so much yummy stuff to eat. I made a new dip that was OUT of this world. It's called Buffalo Chicken Dip (Sparkrecipe). I also made some Veggie Bars. These little puppies are so good....they have a crescent roll crust and then a cream cheesy layer on that topped w/ chopped up veggies and cheese. So good. Mom also made a big pot of meatballs and weenies.... So my sister drove me home and a basically went right to bed... The next morning, not feeling well at all and needing something in my belly FAST.... I chowed on left overs my mom sent home with me. Meatballs, weenies, my dip, and veggie bars. I also had about 2 gallons of chocolate milk (okay maybe not 2 gallons but 2 big glasses of it, and I did use skim milk and SF chocolate syrup). Later I munched a few more veggie bars....some nuts...crackers. Saturday night we went to my mother in laws house for Allan's birthday dinner and didn't do too bad until dessert (however I knew I would NOT pass on her Derby Pie). She made poppy seed chicken, lima beans, corn OTC, rolls...a Jello salad... and then the Derby Pie! Oh not to mention, I brought all of the left over dips and appetizers over her house and munched on them AGAIN!! Suffice it to say, I went way over all of my nutritional goals all weekend and knew I would not have a great weigh in week.
So I knew my weigh in today wasn't going to be pretty. Not as bad as I thought though. Still went down .2 lbs, so I'm not complaining. Now, this weekend I have NOTHING going on, so there is absolutely NO excuse for me to get off track! I am hoping for an amazing weigh in next Friday!
