I am officially on Island Time (even though there is no eye-land in sight). We are on the second day of our cruise, and our status is:
That’s how I feel, too; it is possible to go to the gym and do my cardio and strength exercises, but I am not sure I can follow the boot camp videos in a room the size of a tortoise’s shell. AND—without relentless tracking, I feel a bit unanchored. (Ergo, tracking to follow).
I also feel the need to read some blogs and comments and success stories and articles, see some pix and connect with my Spark friends.
Whoa----! Is this me talking?
I am not complaining, just being realistic and trying to do what I can this far from shore.
So, I am doing the resistance band thing and the full body stretch and walking Everywhere. Wish I had my pedometer so I would know how many steps I have taken from one end of the ship to the other and back…. But I’d guess it is at least 10,000 per day.
There’s no sitting on your posterior with my sisters!
I am in no hurry to do anything right now though. Just relaxing, chillin’, taking it easy…
I watched the sun rise over a silver sea this morning, and the clouds above were muscular with promise. The azure sky stretched to the horizon, and I had that feeling children seem to be born with---that anything is possible.
Could I just maybe possibly really walk on water????
But a girl can dream.
Tracking for day 2 of the cruise:
30 minutes, 5 miles (on the stationary bike)
Full body stretch after workout
Breakfast: ¼ banana nut muffin
1 cup mixed fruit (melon, grapes, pineapple)
Coffee with 1 teaspoon honey and scant ½ & ½
Lunch: 3 ounces baked tilapia
Small salad, no dressing
Small slice dolce de leche cheesecake (OMG)
Dinner: 3 ounces baked fish
½ cup steamed green beans
2” square chocolate cheesecake
4 ounces chocolate pudding w/ whipped cream
AND I discovered that it is possible to do the boot camp video in a closet! Who knew???
Theme song for the day:
I'm Sailing Away (Styx)
