So, I'm not so good this summer logging in everything that I need to log in to be ultra successful. But I am still on program and trying to eat as healthy as possible (minus the week of vacation that threw me for a loop) :)
An update on my P90X adventures... I made it successfully through Phase 1 and have some fantastic health updates:
**Beginning HR (even AFTER running a half marathon) was 78
**After 30 days of P90X- 54!!!!
**I lost a total of 4 inches (but GAINED in my biceps and thighs...oh how I love being a muscle builder)
**BP started out at 120/88
**After 30 days....110/70
Weight stayed exactly the same (boo hiss)

I LOST 5% body fat!!!
My trainer took the measurements twice because she couldn't believe it.
OK, now I'm really into it for the long haul if I can do that amount of improvement in 30 days. So I'm Phase 2 week 2 and let's just say....it's a killer. I'm still hanging tough and doing pull ups with a chair but I can actually squeeze out a standard push up! First time EVER. I've had to add in a Casein Protein shake in the evenings before bed for some energy in the morning (I work out early before work) and I added a CLA-GLA (OxyCut) supplement in as well. I'm not quite as happy with the lack of abdominal fat loss so I researched CLA and came up with this from GNC. It should help expedite the fat loss without any muscle loss. It has a natural energy boost so you take it 15 minutes before your workout (not ideal to take 2 big horse-pills right out of bed but I did it). I felt like I had more energy for the killer Back/Bicep routine this morning (my husband scoffed at me and said it's all in my head) We'll see!
Tomorrow is YogaX my least favorite due to my lack of flexibility but I get such a sense of accomplishment when I'm done with it that I just keep 'pushing play'!
40 has sure brought new obstacles in the fat-loss/exercise arena....belly fat and back that refuses to leave is the worst. I refuse to let it win.
