Wow. I am so sorry you had to deal with that at the water park. I have been to theme parks and squished myself into the tiny little seats and it was embarassing even though I was probably the only one to notice, still embarassing.

Good job for glaring at that guy, that is so RUDE of him! Be proud of yourself for handling that as well as you did, I probably would have had a complete breakdown in front of everyone.

It sucks when we're limited from things because of our weight or size. I'm going on a cruise soon and there's all sorts of things like horseback riding and kayaking and things like that that I'm not able to go on because I'm too heavy. It's just frustrating when it limits your choices. That's why we're in this though, to improve our lives and stuff. Good luck with everything, put the bad times behind you.

Wow, sorry about your experience at the water park. The whole weight thing is primarily the reason I don't do water parks at all.
Yea! for homeschooling. When I have kids that I what I want to do. I homeschooled a couple Kindergarten kids a few years back.
Its ok to have "bad days", just don't think of them as bad. We are not on a diet but a life change. Good job on making a fresh start. I have to do that every meal sometimes. emoticon

Those must be some good muffins that you are baking! I am glad that you liked my impromptu video blog of our pork tenderloin verde. It was yummy and because we basically are not eating any carbs right now the 4 ounces of meat needs to be really yummy!

I wish I knew what to say to make your awful water park experience go away! I guess it does take all kinds of people to make up this world. It's times like that though I ask myself God do we have to have even the RUDEST and INSENSITIVE morons sharing this wonderful earth LOL.

Good for you for letting that idiot know what you thought of him by that mean stare you gave him!

Also kudos to you for homeschooling and loving your blended family. YOU ROCK

Have an amazing day!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you!! It probably didn't help that it is a million degrees in Phoenix. Thank you for sharing your experience though. That is really brave of you since it is such a personal thing. I'm really excited that you only let it effect you for that day though. Sometimes if I have a bad day (eating wise or stress wise) I will let it hurt the rest of my week. So great job on getting back on track! Keep doing what you are doing and you will reach your goals emoticon

i'm so sorry about your experience. i have never personally had to get off a ride for being too heavy, but i have had some embarrassing stuff happen. one day my husband and i were at a local water park, and we got on a two person ride where the heavier person must sit on the back. my husband wanted to sit on the back, but at the time, he was like 30 some pounds lighter than me. the attendant pointed out (very loudly) that i was heavier than him and had to get up and get in the back. it was horrifying enough, so i can't imagine what you were feeling. i hope things go better for you in the future and with your weight loss journey. take care

The kids in my family would NEVER say that... they were raised to be sensitive to others... that must have been so tough for you... I am sorry people are so cruel. When I was in high school, there was a carnival ride that the belt wouldn't fit and they made a show of it..... and it was in front of a guy I liked... I was mortified. GOD no walmart??? I'd die!!!!!!!!!!!

MUFFIN thieves!!!!!!! I made those applesauce oatmeal.... They were DELISH I put raisins on my hubbys 6 and mine plain.. they were GREAT!

We both had that kind of night I guess.... Hubby finally did apologize... (via text message) hahaha....

Unfortunately I only could watch a portion of this and my computer kept locking up!
I am sorry your trip was stressful for you. This program HAS to be about progress, and the fact you are here vlogging about what happened instead of out comforting yourself with food is a big step. Also, you recognized BEFORE you left that you needed to eat. Maybe all the choices were not great (there is no vacation from the rest of your life) but you are starting to see patterns. You just have to acknowledge how important that is, because it will help you make better choices in the future.
Just keep doing what you are doing day by and. It will get easier.
Hugs, Di

Ugh, I'm really sorry you had to go through that. And I am doubly sorry that you had to encounter the hostility from other people waiting in line. Those people should be ashamed of themselves.

I know that in situations like these, people turn to food for comfort; and it is hard to say no to that, especially after an emotionally trying day. I'm glad you made it through that day. I hope that eventually you can turn to this vlog and use it as a gage to measure how far you've come.

Wow, I'm sure the homeschooling is difficult. You deserve a commendation for that.

You seem to have the right attitude about things. And to quote Eleanor Roosevelt (in other words, to be a nerd), "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

Keep on Sparkin' :)

Hey girl! I'm so sorry you had such a stressful experience at the park. People can be cruel and I'm so sorry that you had that happen to you at all.

You sound very overwhelmed. I wish I knew exactly what to tell you, but I don't.

The good news is that all of that crap is behind you...literally and we get a chance every moment of every day to start over. Our chances never end and they are never taken away. Sounds like you are on the right path.

Have you ever heard of Geneen Roth? She's on Oprah all the time. I never watch Oprah, so I haven't seen her on the show, but I own one of her books. I got her online retreat some time ago and never listened to it...not sure why I didn't. Anyway, I started listening to it this week. it's about an hour and a half session once per week. It has lots of great info on it.

I'm not sure if I can or not, but if I can share it would you like me to email it to you?

Take care!

-Lisa
