Somebody STOP me!

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

I'm having a really hard time getting my eating under control. Had a very bad day at work yesterday and after dinner I made brownies. Eating soothes me. I am a diabetic and shouldn't be eating brownies to begin with. I need to get back on track with eating and exercise. It's just too overwhelming, I give up before I start. Any ideas?

I know how you feel. Its the stressful times that trigger me too. I try to make sugar free pudding and jello to have on hand when I need something sweet. I freeze Yoplait fat free Yogurt & pretend its icecream. :-)

We can do this! Don't give up. Its one choice at a time.

I liked the comments you receive. I read them. I haven't any words of wisdom for you today only to let you know that I have had one of those days today. tomorrow I will get right back on my path, and so should you. Every day make an attempt until it sticks.

Don't make the brownies! Go to the store and just buy one packaged brownie or get one from the bakery. You can have your snack, just don't overdo. Make sure you're getting protein in the late afternoon. Good luck.

    Don't give up!!

I keep thinking of the illustration I heard here on SP:
"If you got a speeding ticket, would you just say to yourself, 'Oh, man! I stink at this! I just can't do it!' and then speed everywhere??!!??"

Each day is an opportunity for a fresh new start... one day at a time...

One step at a time.

Have you looked at some healthy alternatives? (I discovered that if I make the frozen banana soft serve ice cream that is in the Spark recipes, but make it with an added tablespoon of cocoa, I can have a wonderful chocolate indulgence for seriously FEW calories- toss in a T of almonds and a squirt of chocolate syrup and you're talking "Chocolate Heaven" for half the calories in one brownie)

Self control is the hardest thing I am still trying to concur. It is a daily struggle. Just keep trying your hardest. A support person that you could call during your weak moments would be great. Please do not give up. You can do this. emoticon
