Up to 7 lbs loss!

I just finished my 7th week doing weight watchers and have now lost a total of 7 lbs! I am ecstatic! I am so looking forward to reaching a 10 lb loss! I think I will treat myself to an actual hair-do makeover once I reach my 10 lb target! My dark brown hair is past my shoulders and recently added some blond highlights. For some reason the hairdresser did not do a great job. She tried to fix it but there were some other areas that she missed. For example, there was about 1/2 inch of brown hair from scalp of brown and then the blond highlight after that. Hope this makes sense. It wasn't all over but enough to notice. So... I will be searching for a new hairdresser soon.

My hair grows quick so I usually get the roots done every 1.5 - 2 weeks! I was thinking of getting it ALL blond so the grey won't show so quick but... I don't know. Perhaps I'll just go back to regular brown hair with a nice easy hairstyle.

    hi Thank you for commenting at my blog. You asked for tips?
    1. Portion control (I decide how much I am going to eat and put it on my plate and make sure I don't have seconds.) In the beginning it was a bit tough, cause I was still hungry. Also, I learned not to STUFF myself. Eat enough and walk away. (brushing your teeth after a meal helps)
    2. Drink water with most of my meals.
    3. Eat fresh fruit every day. If you enjoy it, you'll eat them. It's a nice snack too. Hungry? try fruit!
    4. On some days, I try to have a salad for lunch. Panera Bread has a nice salad filled with chicken, fruits and pecans for just 280 calories. It's called poppyseed, strawberry, chicken salad.
    5. Move! Even if it's just 30 minutes of walking every day or every other day, it is something! Doing nothing, gives you nothing! I decided that it's time for me to take care of myself... everything can wait... chores, phone calls, etc. Just get some walking/jogging done consistently and it will become a part of your life... like brushing your teeth!
    6. Lift weights! I know I am getting muscle by all of the walking I am doing. I am lifting weights cause I really want to have sexy-looking arms. Plus muscle burns more calories!
    7. Plan your meals as best you can.
    What you really want to do is gradually change your habits (eating, exercise). You do not have to deprive yourself of eating delicious food. Moderation, consistency is key.

    Now... I knew most of this stuff but realized that being held accountable (weight watchers) is what motivates me. So... so far so good. Good luck and keep me posted!
