A pint of ice cream is not a single serving"

Thursday, August 05, 2010

The last question to pop up on SparkTrivia this morning was "How many servings are in a pint of ice cream?" I knew the answer and laughed out loud emoticon when the explanation came up - "A pint of ice cream is not a single serving." Leave it to SP to remind us about potion control in a not so subtle way!

Ice Cream emoticon is my guilty pleasure and I have "killed" hundreds of "single serving" pints in my lifetime! I can't even have it in the house for my family for fear that I will cave in to it's magical powers! My daughter bought some the other day and I wouldn't - COULDN'T - watch she and my husband eat it. Maybe, somehow, someday I will be able to eat a real single serving - 1/2 cup - but for now my beloved ice cream is strictly off limits! emoticon

Ben and Jerry's Phish Food ice cream is my ultimate sin. It's got the four food groups going for it - sugar, fat, milk chocolate and dark chocolate emoticon

I saw that too. emoticon I should have showed my kids. They think a heaping bowl of ice cream is one serving. I also can't let my hubby scoop my ice cream, as his "little bit" is about 2 scoops. emoticon

I love ice cream too! The only way i can have it in the house is to buy the true single serving cups that are about a half a cup. I've been buying either weight watchers ones or edys slow churned, edys are 190 cals for the little cup. :)

I totally understand about the ice cream. I don't have it in the house but I do go and have some with my DH at a store sometimes so that I don't feel totally deprived!!

Gosh I totally understand the off limits of certain foods. Ice cream isn't one of my loves, but m&ms are!
