Health blood pressure returns ... 106 / 82!

Wednesday, August 04, 2010

A few weeks ago I had my blood pressure taken at my doctor's office, and it has returned to a healthy number! 106/82! YAHOO! Just taking off ~10 pounds made the difference!

Until a few years ago my blood pressure was always a great number... 105 / 60 to 110/75 was typical, even when I was overweight. It was probably low due to the many many years of bicycling several thousand miles a year, and I was the only person in my family without high blood pressure.

As soon as I hit 50, my blood pressure crept up... it was usually 130/85 to 155/90, and my physician was watching it. She said that even taking 5 pounds off might return it to a healthy range.

She was right!
