I am glad to report that I am safely back home after our vacation. I learned a lot while I was gone.
I missed my usual almost vegetarian eating style. Not having lots of fruit and veggies each day weighed heavily on me. I know I gained lots of weight. I feel logy and heavy. I will be very glad to resume my healthy eating.
I found that while I am usually cheerful, too much time with those I love can cause me to become short of temper and prickly. Feelings get hurt irreparably in such circumstances.
I learned that I need to physically prepare for the demands of travel and guesting. I didn't have the ability to negotiate the tasks I needed to complete, nor did I have some of the equipment that would have made myself and others more comfortable.
I missed the everyday dialogue with my Sparkfriends. I found how important the goals we set for our teams are really important to my well-being. In many instances I found that my teams and I are much better at communicating with each other than I was communicating with my family and close associates.
This vacation was a wonderful time of discovery for me and for James who accompanied my son and me. I had the opportunity to see things through new eyes as James saw things for the first time and was very vocal in appreciation of each new experience.
It was fun and educational for all of us.
