I am absolutely AMAZED! I have been trying to lose this AWFUL, HORRIBLE RELENTLESS, 40 pounds now for Four long tiring years! I have tried everything, and YES I have lost...DISHONESTLY! I have taken Thermogenics, and starved and YES I have lost, about seven pounds or so, but the minute I stop, I gained every pound right back! I have done the NO carb diet, YES, I lost, about the same amount of weight! Yep you guessed it, I gain it all right back! I have even gone to my doctor and did protein shakes, why of course I lost, I even lost almost 12 pounds, all just to gain it right back! Yes, Yes, I know, ALL wrong! It did not matter I wanted this monkey off my back and I wanted it off NOW! On Friday, reluctantly, I decided to give SP a try. I was skeptical to say the least, but heck I had nothing to lose but the monkey! I said to my husband, I think I will just start logging on my food and see what happens! So I did just that, with my own menus, it amazed me to be able to see it all in black and white at the end of the day! A visual of sorts, you see it, its subject to change! Between that, the love of the Lord, my family, a little exercise, and all of the encouragement from friends here at SP, I sit here four days later and three pounds lighter...I am doing it, I really, am doing this, only this time I am doing things HONESTLY! I am inspired, I can finally see the forest thru the trees, I am encouraged, therefore MY SPIRIT HAS BEEN RENEWED!

    Oh, my dear, you have fallen into the richest vein of information available for nutrition and fitness. I've come to look at it as my eating coach. I've never seen such a powerful tool for tracking and it has made the whole difference for me.

We are so blessed for having a place like this to help us. I've lost almost 20 lbs. since January .. .for real . .. never to return again and actually am having a love affair with food. It's like putting together a puzzle to see what it takes to get all my levels in range (including Potassium!) Now that's a challenge. What the heck do I eat to get that? Well believe me, there is a winning combination and I'll share mine with you any time you want. Not that you would like mine, but you'll find what works for you.

One of the keys is to not let yourself get hungry. That will be your enemy. High fiber foods like apples do two things, they fill you up and satisfy the sweet craving. Well, another thing is how they keep your body fueled with a densely nutritious choice. A real winner for the calories spent.

I could go on and on. My dear hubs gets tired of hearing me talk about it but I'm trying to get him to stick to the program. He's not as disciplined as I try to be.

    all diets help one lose weight (as you, i and countless others have discovered) but the journey is in keeping with it for life. find that part of the equation and we're on our way. keep kickin' it!!! emoticon

    emoticon . You just have to want to. Some of us lose slower than others. But we are all here for the same reason.
And we are all here for one another.
