This weight loss / eat healthy plan I was supposed to be doing with hubs lasted a little longer than I thought it would. Hubs dropped out of it for good a few weeks ago. He still eats the portioned out food that I give him, but I don't have any control over the kind of thing. He'll lose the weight when he wants to. The thing is his heartburn has flared up again and it's not pretty. I'm trying really hard not to be the nagging wife, but it's starting to bother me.

I picked up added motivation for running a couple weeks ago when I was offered a job. While the job was technically mine, I still had to do the doctor's check up and the running part which was a mile and a half in 17 minutes. Everyone has been telling me it's doable and I have nothing to worry about. However, I don't want to cross the finish line and decide that I need a stretcher. It doesn't look good to a future employer. Never having been a runner I've started out slow and am working my way up. It's nice to see the scale move. Three weeks of serious running and I've been able to keep the weight off and lose some in the process.
