The Absolutely Yes List

So many of us live our lives running from one thing to another losing ourselves in the chaos that creates. Multiple tasks require attention, jobs, children, spouses, houses and all they entail. We become the caregivers for others but not for ourselves. This challenge is about taking our self-care to a whole new level. This may seem arrogant and selfish, practiced only by those people with a high sense of entitlement. You are ENTITLED.
WE ARE TALKING HERE ABOUT SCHEDULING YOU INTO YOUR SCHEDULE. We are going to take extreme action to improve our lives through daily habits of living. For the length of the challenge we will schedule time on our calendars every day.
This first part involves reclaiming your life by deciding what you absolutely have to include in your schedule, you time included. We need to become discriminating about how we spend our precious time and energy.
To start we are gong to make our Absolutely Yes Lists. Think very carefully about your top priorities, such a your emotional, physical and spiritual health, your children and significant relationships, community service, work related activities, etc. After you identify what needs your immediate attention, choose your top seven priorities--those things you are going to devote your time and attention to for the next month. I suggest writing these seven priorities on 3 by 5 cards and putting them where you can keep them in view. This way you can make sure your time is devoted first to those things that matter most. Most of us could cut out about 30% of what we now do. All other things you give the Absolutely Yes test to to decide if they are what you truly wish to undertake by asking yourself, "Is this an absolute yes?" In the process you will also be modeling good self-care to your children and/or others close to you.

6 Abunai! & Fantasy Ezine (my volunteer jobs)
