July Is Over

Here we are again at yet the end of another month. Sometimes I wish time would slow down and then at times it can't go fast enough. Humans are such fickle creatures.
Did I accomplish anything that could be considered earth shattering? Probably not to some, but to me just getting through each day safe with family intact is an accomplishment.
As to personal accomplishments; I finally got back on the losing track and dropped 8 pounds 5 of them are new ones lost, 3 were repeaters, go figure! I started running a little bit with my walks. I'm still not thrilled with running, but it has helped with my goal of where I want to be, so over the course of the next few months I will try to run longer intervals and walk shorter ones. Now, I'm never go to run 100%, but going to keep it in the program. I've been doing strength training with dumb bells and the ball. That thing sure has a mind of its own at times. The dogs love watching me on it. Because the boxer has a wrinkled forehead she can come up with some great quizzical expressions! She makes me laugh so hard sometimes I have to stop and can't get going again. Well, laughter is good exercise, it does use a lot of different muscles! I've also been swimming at least twice a week, unfortunately that will be ending soon because of the approaching change in season. Now, if I won the lottery (have to buy a ticket first) I'd put in an indoor pool and take care of the season problem. I love to swim. Over all I am very happy with the way July is ending. I hope most of you can say the same thing.
My August plans at the moment; stay as cool as possible! I will stay with what is working and hope it continues. If it doesn't, I'll come up with a new plan. August, also means back to school for Joshua, so I'll have to re-organize my time schedule, oh what fun! This year is going to be tougher because the schools here don't start until September 1, so for 2 weeks I have to get him into school stuff while school kids are still here all day. This is going to be very interesting!
This weekend is going to be full of swimming and glass work. I've been neglecting the peacock, so I have to get back to it. With that said I need to get to it!
Have a great weekend, stay cool, and safe.
