Well, our Galloway group coach took a poll last week to see who all was game for just doing 5am runs at least until Labor Day, majority ruled and we are up & running at 5am every Sat. regardless if it's a long run or not. I'm okay with that, however, as a long time runner and triathlete, I've always had to be up at least 2 hrs. prior to any type of activity be it running or triathlon and waking up a 3am, I have got to say SUCKS. Especially when I have to be in bed by 8:30pm on a Friday night....doh! Don't get me wrong, once I'm up, I'm up, but ouch, when that alarm goes off, I do have the little thought in my mind of, hmmmm, should I just turn the alarm off and go back to sleep. Luckily, running with a group is a big motivator because every 5am run I do with these folks, there is always a huge group out there. I'd feel really bad not showing up just cause I didn't want to get up. I think my biggest motivation is that when I'm done, I get to come home and drink my juicer juice, take an ice shower and take a nice quick cat nap. Woohoo!
Well, I'm off to go take a shower and head out the door for another run on a hot Dallas, TX. morning! Luckily today is only a 7 miler, however we have another Galloway Magic Mile test today with 4-6 mile repeats.
AHHHH today's gonna be a good day!
