Yesterday I made a few really good choices for myself. On Thursday evening there is an event that usually goes along with me having 3 or 4 beers. Last night although those around me were still having their alcohol I drank water and a diet pepsi. This was hard for me, because I LOVE beer, and yes I know that is bad especially with being diabetic. So major good choice for me!
Then on the way home from this event my husband and daughter decide they want a Wendy's Frosty. Usually I would get a small fry, or if nothing else a diet dr. pepper, but last night. I went without anything. Smaller but still good choice for me.
Finally we are home, and it is "snack time". My snack last night? Water. Yep, just a glass of water and I headed to bed because I was really fighting the urge. Again a little early for bed at 9:45 but another good choice for me!
I'm proud of myself this morning. It is helping me feel like today is going to be another really good day. Now I KNOW I will be having pizza for dinner tonight, but I've been running a little on the lower side of my suggested intake of carbs, protein, etc so with a little planning today the pizza tonight shouldn't be a big deal.
I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF!
