Burning the Candle

I've been out of it lately - working so much I can't even keep days straight in my head. Is it really almost the end of July already? Where is time going?

Tomorrow starts a few days off for me from the crazy schedule. I'm back home from the work I've been doing in a remote part of northern Nevada and hope to enjoy a few days of R&R. My youngest leaves for Savannah next Tuesday to start college at SCAD - it's a big event coming up in her life. She's going on a soccer scholarship - good thing too cause I'd never be able to afford it otherwise.

I've lost almost 25 lbs since I started this process last January - not too shabby, huh? I definitly feel much better physically. The work schedule is making it hard to keep up w/ weight training though. To try to make up for it, I do pullups from the bucket of the excavator I operate most of the day on the bridge construction project I'm managing now. Not quite Body Pump, but better than nothing.

Well - hope everyone has reached their goals in this summer challenge. It's been a fast 10 weeks! Lets make the last week a good one!

Hey Mike, R&R sounds good. I'm sure your daughter is going to appreciate some time with you before she goes. I know that I have had too much happening too. I'm doing what I can when I can and as much as I can. Wish you the best. emoticon

Keep going 25 lbs is great. I have a friend who is the Ad at Scad and also a former big time soccer player. Good luck and best wishes for your daughter.
