just a few words before the end of the day. all in all i think it was productive. :-)

    My husband is along for the ride while I'm losing weight. He claims he wants to too, but he has a horrid sugar addiction. I didn't understand "sugar addiction" until I met him. Unfortunately for him, he has NO self-control, so I have to basically do it for him. This, to me, is really about about portion control. Hubby doesn't have any concept of it. So, I give him the serving size of ice cream and he looks at me like I've lost it and grudgingly eats his ice cream in silence. He'll eat an entire carton of ice cream in 3 days if I let him loose on it. ANYWAY..

    Like I said, to me, this is all about portion control. A lot of it is willpower. For me, my bane of existence was night time snacking. It was difficult. I wanted to just tell myself that it will be all better tomorrow and I WON'T snack at night tomorrow!...after I had that snack. Don't forget to reward yourself, also! I reward my husband at the end of the month with a "free" day. He gets to eat WHATEVER he wants. That entire day. Me, well.. I just want results and that's enough.

    I've rambled enough. I hope I didn't just slap some random stuff in there. I do that sometimes. Hope -something- in there helps! Remember: Portions, Self-Control, Willpower! Btw, MSCOCOPUFFS is right... The longer you stick with it, they really do go away. That's why I don't snack at night time anymore.

    It IS very important to not beat yourself up over the small things.. You did GREAT!!! I'm proud of you. Really good choices!! Skinny cows are sooooooooooo good!! Good luck on limiting yourself.. lol.. i can't keep those things in the house... even with the best of intentions!!! Unfortunatly... I know of NOTHING to stop my sugar cravings except.... wait for it........ STOPPING ALL SUGAR INTAKE!!! yup... that stinks huh... but if you do it for long enough, they really do go away... Now if only I could do it... AGAIN!!! lol Don't know of a journal but I really would just type up a page that has like.. food i ate.. exercise I did... thoughts for the day..... and print a bunch out and put them in a binder... thats all i got... sorry... lol... your awesome girl... keep em coming!!!

    You chose wisely with your choices with a healthier meal as you were eating out. Good Job.

    I like your idea in allowing yourself portion of what you're craving, because you're strengthening yourself in self-control.
