I want to be the ocean you sail on
To seek out your destiny
I want to be the mist that rises from the lake
Each morning you look out at me
And ponder questions unknowingly
I want to be the water you reach for
On a hot summer day
To splash in
Relax in
And play in
I want to see the smile on you face
And the pleasure in your eyes
As I take you in
I want to be refreshingly cool
I want to soothe you
When you feel dirty
I want you to come to me for purity
When you cry I want to be the
Tears from your eyes
That comforts the pain from a lifetime of struggle
The tears that bring healing to your soul
And when you confess impurity
I want to be the water that seals your salvation
When you look into me
I want you to see yourself
In all its splendor and beauty
When the sun comes to dance on me
I want to dazzle you with my brilliance
That triggers the thankfulness
That becomes cure of your breaking heart
I want to be the water you reach for as you plant seeds
During the winters of your soul
You are welcome to seek shelter
And Stand firm on me
I want to be this for you
And in doing so
I am me
