Feeling Down... hopefully not out

Sunday, July 25, 2010

I'm in such a funk...it started this past week and I'm trying hard to keep my head above water right now. I need a real attitude adjustment. I certainly don't mean to be a downer...

I hope you all have a great week!

Maybe you are thinking too much about everything you have to do. Are you getting enough "ME" time? Are you getting enough rest? I've been where this blog is, and I hope you are out of it by now, but if not, let me know. I love you, want the best for you, and think the most of you! You're AWESOME!!!! Try to remember that. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

You know what you should say..... funk off!!!!
I look to you for inspiration (as do many others as you're a Spark People motivator) - look how many pounds you've managed to lose. I lose/gain/lose/gain etc etc and very often get downhearted. We're not giving up though hun - we're better than that!

Just remember how far you've come in such a short time.

And if that doesn't work, get out there and do a few miles on the bike emoticon

We all have days like that - the good thing is they pass.

I'm smiling b/c I was at your page just now thinking how great you have done - feeling that you are a kind of invincible warrior - spreading cheer and shedding pounds! Just remember that - you inspire others and make them smile and feel good! Funk - be gone!

Take care,

I think we as a group of SPmembers are a terrific group, the way we respond to a cry for help, or a prayer, a word of encouragement or praise. Having said that Wow !! you are doing a fantastic job dropping LBS. Keep up the good work.

funks are natural to daily life, I read once where you're body, mind goes through cycles particularly when you change routines, I think the book sadi it was 3 or six months after a life stlye shange or somthing like that. I use visual imagery to help.
my memory must be getting really bad I remember you sent me a note (was it you, lol)about you did something to your foot ot something like that , well if it was you I sure hope it gets better REAL SOON. love ya emoticon

Speak of the devil and here you are. LOL I almost spark mailed you.

OK kiddo so here's the scoop: You are doing great! It's easy to be happy about your progress when it happens initially. It's different when it becomes day-in day-out dos and donts. The challenge of every relationship, including with your body is in that day in day out. It isn't exciting but it is rewarding.

Certainly I would start writing and see if you are digging up worms in your thoughts..of course! LOL But your commitment to continuing your program and Sparking and participating no matter what is going on does indeed serve a purpose.

Hugs

You have my support completely. I'll be at zumba tomorrow so I hope to see you there. I took you up on the idea of the body camp class and its rather good but harsh workout! :)
I might try it again sometime, but my knees killed after it!! Send me a message with your number, and we can go on a bike ride, or just a drink and a chat. If you need someone to listen i'm only a short bike ride away :) *hug*

Pamper and love yourself. You've been pushing yourself hard, with a lot of weight loss and emotional changes. Sit back and let your body accept the shock. Then gradually pick up so that things start sailing smoothly again. No need to burn yourself out at such a crucial point of your journey!

Hard week here too. It is the getting through these times, not the good times and the easy times that will ultimately be our success. I've found positive music helps my mood.

You are such a huge support and encouragement in my life. Just know I am here, if you need to vent, please feel that you can do so with me.
I will be praying for you honey. I am hoping this week will be fabulous for you. Let's start all new and fresh tomorrow and leave yesterday behind us.
Love you lots and lots and thank you for being YOU!

Can you identify what's putting you in a funk? Is it one or two things, or feeling like everything is hitting you at once?

Hopefully this week will turn itself around for you, chin up.

Sorry you are feeling so down. don't worry about being a "downer" as you put it. Thats what this blog things all about. If you are feeling bad then you need to talk about it. You should say anything you want and not worry about it.
Obviously, I don't know what is going on with you in your life--but i find when i feel yucky that if i make myeself do my exercies i usually feel better. But, that is not necessarilly what will help you. Just know that I am here and so are your other SP friends. and we don't mind listening. You say whatever you want to.

After having a month with the grandkids, its going to be hard getting back on track. I had fun but we were all doing a lot of eating and cooking. I was not use to having so many here so long, and it got real hard for me a few times.

I hope you get back on track real soon. You and me too!!!
