I can't believe it has been 14 days! I've never stuck to anything H.E.A.L.T.H.Y. that long before. The Boot Camp videos really are doable--I encourage any hesitaters to jump in and go at your own pace. You CAN do it.
Spark People makes it easier. I read in an article today "It’s tougher to quit when someone else is counting on you. In fact, with a team that’s pulling for you, it’s less likely that you’ll want to quit." It was a Spark article and I don't remember the writer's name, but I get what he means.
Today I had to ride the stationary bike indoors because we had Chicago-like rain/wind/lightening! But, I managed 14 miles and the sweatiest T-shirt you'd ever want to see. Phew!! I didn't get real close to anyone until I showered!
Right along with that super exercise, I ate at the top of my 1550 calorie range and I needed every calorie today.

Tonight I am packing for a cruise (don't hate me!!) 5 gorgeous East Caribbean days with my 2 sisters and a boatload of Carnival atmosphere.
I am soooo looking forward to it!! I need the break. I do intend to exercise and continue eating right on the ship, but I am not going to obsess about it. The sun will be shining, the pool will be sparkling, and the cold beverages are waiting!
I met all my goals today: water, fruit and veggies, exercise. It's starting to feel natural to make a good choice, and even when I don't, I am no longer beating myself up about it.
That's progress with a capital P.
You know, there is lots of time for reflection when you are riding a stationary bike (going nowhere fast). I found it soothing, and I think I'll do it more often in the future.
