The Blue Basset watch Continues, Part 3

Saturday, July 24, 2010

It's way too late 4 me to be up. I've gotten a Sugar Crash being stupid in the heat (107* w/heat index today!), while doing the John Deere thing on our yard. The DH has fianlly gotten back into his 2nd Full Time job and no time or help for things around here, and as a Peace Offering for the expense of Blue's unexpected Vet Bill. I didn't eat enough before doing the 120 min. of "riding the Deere" on this humongous lot and hill and got pretty sick, so Blue Basset is sleeping peacfully on his pillow next to my desk right now waiting for Mom to go to BED!

Blue is feeling exceptionally better than he has in a long time! He's almost like his prior self of almost 2-5 yrs ago. Making sure the other Hounds toe the line and making sure we Doggie Parent's know that he wants something too. He's been so timid and tired for so long, we just assumed it was his age. Maybe this recent issue has been the underlying cause after all. Blue is definitely walking a little gingerly, but with more bounce in his step. The Bleeding has stopped except during 'potty time', and it seems to be old clots. Fingers crossed, and more Prayers that all will be well when we go back in 7 days. The silly Basset still wants to go on his Wogs! I'm just afraid to go with this extreme heat.

I'll keep the Blue Updates coming if any changes happen and when its all cleared. Thanks again my Spark Friends!

Egads!! It's too hot to be mowing.

It sounds like Blue Basset found some relief at least. I hope he continues to improve.

So far so good. I'm like so many others, keeping you and Blue in my thoughts and my fingers crossed for another positive update. He's very lucky to have you in his corner.

Although you are sounding tentative here, Shell, it sounds as if the crisis may be backing down. I'm hoping that our prayers for Blue are being answered and that your buddy is regaining better health and strength. I will be glad to get that good bill of health confirmed.
Hugs to you and Pats to Blue,
