Starting again!

Friday, July 23, 2010

I have been so upset with myself this last few months..The more depressed I got the more I ate! and ate! I have put alot of my weight loss back on..But no more! I was diagnosed with fibromyalga and nuropathy recently..It put me in a bad funk.. I didn't walk very much lately due to pain in my legs and feet and pain specailist wanting to give my cortisone shots in my back.. No Way! Been there done that..So as soon as my sprained ankle gets better, I am going to walk, soon, I hope.. Yeah , forgot to say, while in Alaska , fell down my daughter's steps and sprained my ankle..Sure glad did not break anything, but I still did not let that stop me.. I went and did and paid for it later..Alaska was awesome, and beautiful..My grandkids are getting so big.. I got to watch their soccer games and take them to the zoo and a festival.. We went out on Prince Willam Sound and caught lots of Halibut.. Both of my grandkids fish and catch them also..But back to the real world and I HAVE TO GET BACK ON TRACK.. MY BLOOD PRESSURE IS UP AND LOTS OF PAIN TO DEAL WITH BUT I would feel better and did when my weight was lower..So I am telling myself to GET TO WORK!

I am also starting Spark again. I have gained about 16 lbs. since I joined almost 2 years ago. Just frustration over all the dr. appts. and pain clinic procedures lately. August will be all done but I want to start losing now!!
I hope we can do this together. You have a lot of fine Sparklers rooting for you.
Peace and blessings,

Welcome back! Sounds like your trip, the one to Alaska, not the one down the stairs, was great! I know I have a hard time keeping my spirits up to, but I know like you I will feel so much better when the weight comes off. I like this site, there are so many encouraging people and I think that really helps.
Stick with it you can do it!!

I am glad you were able to get to Alaska and see the kiddies. AThey grow so fast.

I am concentrating on getting in my water and trying to start logging in the food diary. Hope you get to feeling better

Have a good day and remember I will be praying for you. Jo

So glad to hear that you had a great time with your family in Alaska. It sounds like it is a beautiful place. Sorry to hear about your fall but glad you did not break anything.

Hopefully, you can quickly get back on track. It seems, to me, weight loss is like getting into a swimming pool. For some, it is easier to dive right in and do full immersion--tackling it full force all at once. For others, it is more gradual--tackling one issue/habit and focus there for several weeks and gradually add new areas.

Keep us posted on how you are doing, we care. emoticon
