This helps my spark

Thursday, July 22, 2010

So, I didn't weigh in on Spark over the past several weeks because I was just too discouraged to do so! I had gone from the 314 I weighed in at back up to 318 and I was just too depressed to admit it. So I stayed off the scale for about 2 weeks now (part of me just didn't care and part of me knew that I shouldn't worry too much about it). So this morning, before I ate breakfast, I hopped onto that glass torture device in my kitchen (more room in the kitchen than the bathroom) and it read 313.4! I checked it 3 times! WOO HOO!!!!!! FINALLY! A step in the right direction! I look forward to measuring myself in a week or two to see where else I've made progress.

On another note... I can feel and see some muscle definition in the top of my arm from my shoulder through my tricep.... which is weird because I can still wave with my arm fat.... it's just so weird to see the two contrasting visions in one place. Weight loss is strange.

Good for you. I often go two weeks or more without weighing. It has to feel right for me. I mean, who wants to get on and see a gain. It typically takes me 2 weeks to lose a pound.

Awesome! You are losing at a GREAT speed! Isn't finding the muscles fabulous? Just think about how much your body will be doing ON IT'S OWN in a couple months!! :)

I like to tell myself it's not about the end result, but about how much fun I'm having getting there - and your story reminds me of it.
emoticon to you for the loss and for gaining MUSCLES!

Keep your spirits high! You CAN do this! I've struggled as well, but in my heart of hearts I know that if I make a conscientious effort everyday and move by body that time will help me take it off.

We can do it! emoticon
Thanks for sharing your thoughts,

Congrats! Keep up the good work!!! Success requires getting up just one more time than you've fallen down. You're up and going now.
