It's been a busy, but great, few weeks! Just lots of relaxing, going to the lake,
Yesterday, on our way to the lake, Glen looks at me and says "Do
you realize You'll be 50 next year?!'
NOT exactly something I need to be reminded of!
Then he looks at me again and says "You look pretty hot for your age!"
I'm thinking WTF! Now, he's always saying I'm older than him. Yes, I am-by 9 FREAKIN' MONTHS! I was born in April and he was born in Jan of the following year. It was a left-handed compliment but well meaning. Made me feel pretty good. "I may grow older but I don't have to get old."
I stepped on the scale a few mrngs ago and didn't like what I saw. I still do my P90X but my eating was been CRAP. I've gained 3 lbs since Glen has been home. Well, that stopped!
~~ upping my cardio to 60 min 4 days a week, 30 minutes the other 2 days.

~~and I'm back to Phase 1 of South Beach for the next 2 weeks(that
I was really disappointed at my weigh in. But I can't honestly say I was
We went on a 4 1/2 hr hike along a river trail. It was great! We saw cranes and swam in a 'new' place. Lots of hills and over grown trails-in some places you had to really search for the trail!
We've actually done a LOT of swimming these past couple of weeks. I don't so much swim as tread & do the dog paddle. I don't know how to swim and ALWAYS wear a life vest. So, in my exercise tracker, I list it as treading water. And even that burns a decent
amount of calories.
I've been job hunting this week. He's getting unemployment and we still have
PLENTY of savings left but it won't last forever and he doesn't seem to be doing much job hunting. AND he's doing
online gambling again. That was the main reason he had to go work overseas,
online gambling(poker). We got into SO much debt & creditors were calling-one of which sued us, those online payday loan places, which I never knew he did til they started calling. We're now being sued by a credit card company-our lawyers are still talking. Neither of us wants him to go overseas again but he'll have to if he doesn't stop.
This time I got smart, tho. The bulk of the savings is in a separate bank that he doesn't know about. I hate being sneaky but 'drastic times call for drastic measures!' Hell, Amber will need new clothes for school next month-that runs into money.
It's getting hard to get him off the damn sofa with that freaking laptop. The sofa cushion is even getting saggy! It's not funny, but it is, in a way!
Well, it's getting a bit late and I need to get Amber into bed.
Have a gREAT evening!
