107 degrees and free mosquitos to boot!

Sunday, July 18, 2010

Yesterday was the most miserible shift I ever worked at the warehouse. It was 107 outside and they won't open the vents until 10 pm..then in fly the mosquitos! I had good bug repellent on...but was still bitten several times. Being up in the air in the stock picker was one of the warmest places in the building! I drank so much made me feel sick.
Today I was hating my exercise bike, already 103 it was a miserable ride.
I am glad I have made exercise a daily habit, because I love the feeling of being done!
I also enjoy saying I rode 73.2 miles in one week! It is the best thing I have done formyself in a long time! Today is 37 days in a row. Yea!

That sounds miserable! I'm really impressed at how you've disciplined yourself with your exercise.

Remember that at times like that, you don't just need water, you need some sort of drink with electrolytes. I learned the lesson myself a few years ago when I did some work in the heat and was drinking all kinds of water. I almost passed out with heatstroke.

    Take care of yourself!
