I DID IT!

Saturday, July 17, 2010

50 workouts in 50 days. It is my FIRST completed challenge. The early days were the hardest, and then it became unnatural to not workout. To keep me going, I bought some stickers they use in classrooms to spark the kids on and give them kudos (couldn't find any stars, colored or otherwise! have they quit making them?) I put one on every day that I exercised and made the challenge. I left off the rest days, but you know what? They were only 6 empty spaces in 50 days! There were 11 days I did more than one workout. Yeehaw!
I learned I need rest days. I gained 8 pounds at the beginning and have since lost the 8. Wish I could post more, but that will come. For now I won't track the challenge the next few days, but that doesn't mean I won't exercise. It's back to the gym tomorrow to get in some strength training. It is a journey and I am learning. Working to lose 100 in a year, anything is possible. Thanks to all my Sparkfriends for the encouragement that kept me going! I will never give up!

There are quite a few websites that have those old-fashioned foil stars. If you want the gold ones, here's the link on Amazon. There are many other sites as well, all pretty reasonably priced. I just figured for this type of achievement, you'd want gold ones.
