What am I doing wrong?

I have really expected a loss on the scale, but nothing is happening. I don't know what the heck I am doing wrong. Working out every day, journaling everything eaten. Trying to not let it get to me..

    I have seen your name before on the CoreBuddies sparkteam where I am also a member. I saw your post and want to first congratulate you on the level of exercise you have attained and are maintaining. That is totally awesome. I did look at your diet log and will make a few suggestions:

    According to The Spark book, for your weight and being regularly active, to maintain your weight, you should consume between 1876-1900 calories a day. For a weight loss goal so close, you subtract 200 calories per day making your daily calorie goal between 1676 and 1700 calories per day. Your log shows quite a bit short of this goal. Your body is holding on to every calorie you eat like it is starving!
    I would also suggest shaking up your breakfast a bit. Seems like you have the same thing every day. I used to do that, too but now I have oatmeal or eggs or cold cereal to have some variety that my body is not used to having day in and day out. I would also suggest more variety in and also more fruits and vegetables. I would also suggest cutting down on sugar-free snacks by limiting them to one serving a day and replacing them with something more nutritious like some yogurt, fruit or a granola bar. Even a small cup of ice cream once in a while is about as much as some of the sugarfree items if you are looking for a cold snack. Lastly, I suggest a bit more and more of a variety of protein, including dairy. For all the muscle work you do, your intake seems a bit low.

    Sounds like you have a lot of good advice here. But just to repeat, this just happens. It WILL be better in weeks to come. Just keep on eating healthy and exercise.

    Hello you,

    It's easy to have no pity for you as you have so little to lose. JUST KIDDING. That's ridiculous; your 15 pounds is like my 50. So I can definitely relate. I have never folllowed a program so closely, with so few pounds lost.

    However, just the fact that I don't crave sweets, my hot flashes are gone and I feel so thin is worth it.

    To be honest, you have so little to lose. Often those huges loses on SB happen to people whose eating habits radically changed switching to SB - they were eating loads of crap. Likely, you were already eating pretty healthy. Between having a relatively small amount to lose and pretty good eating habits, most of the changes are happening for you at a level that you don't see outwardly, but your blood work will show a different story.

    Curbing your cravings is a way to ensure long term success on any program.

    Also, if you workout hard, make sure you're getting enough calories.

    Just don't stop. Changes are happening; you're so close. I will see your success as a beacon of encouragement for me.

    When I have days of weighing frustration, I choose not to step on the scale for a couple of weeks. This way I can focus on being healthy and not just the weightloss.

    make sure you are getting enough calories...if you go under 1200, you won't lose...and you may need more calories depending on how much you are working out...hope this helps...
