c25k - w5d1 - FOX alert ahh!

Today I had another meeting with my trainer at the gym. I got there and he had me walk a mile on the treadmill as a warm-up. Then we did an upper body workout so lots of arms, chest, shoulders, and had to do planks for the abs (ouch!) Then for a cool down he had me do 20 minutes on the elliptical. So that was a pretty good work out! I had been planning on starting my week 5 of c25k at the gym, but I was pretty tired after that and felt I had done a good workout already.
Well I got home and made dinner and Thomas (my husband) gets home and says he is going for a run. So then I start to feel guilty and decide I should do my w5d1. So I take off running as well, outside, in the 95 degree weather. Ugh. But it was going pretty good, I was just nearing the end of my first 5 minute session, when on the trail walks this HUGE red fox. I just kind of froze. I didn't know what to do. Then I stamped my foot thinking it would run away but it started walking closer! Really creeped me out, so I backed away and started running a different way. It really kind of shook me up! I mean aren't they supposed to be afraid of us? And it was enormous! So I tried to finish my run, but had to walk for about a minute during each of the last two running sessions. I just couldn't seem to get back into my groove. Needless to say, I think I will stick to running at the gym for now on. I'm sure it was probably harmless, but I didn't like it one bit!
