I listened to all that you had to say. It was all with a very good attitude. I feel for your Dad but glad that he is strong and I am sure that he will do fine when he has had rehab and is fitted with a prosthesis. You were so upbeat about the whole thing. You made us all aware that we should be thankful if we have limbs to walk, even if we have other physical disabilities. You are a remarkable woman and a great daughter.
It appears that you are doing what you need to do, to keep your self healthy. I am sure that everyone on Spark will be glad when you are able to come back and resume your journey here. emoticon

My co-worker lost his foot this past year. Sounds about the same as your father. His surgery was in January and now he has a temporary and is walking without assistance. I too I had the "thankful" feeling.

It's good to see you again and see the optimistic attitude I can see you taking up through all this. I mean, it wasn't you who had an accident, but you just seem to be handling the whole situation without letting it get you down and depressed. I think it's wonderful how much time you are giving to your dad right now. I'm sure it's a super difficult change for him mentally alone and if he didn't have a wonderful family to support him, I'm certain he would be in a much darker place than wherever he is. I'm glad to hear that he's coming home tomorrow!!
There's nothing like being torn completely from your routine to get you to stop focusing on weight loss and just focus on living. I love the perspective you've taken on of appreciation for what you have. I'm sure you're doing great at taking care of yourself from all you've said. The yoga is probably a tremendous help with the relaxation and distraction it allows. Plus running is like a super focused activity so that distracts as well.
I know that my contribution to your friend feed has been sparse to non existant considering how little I've done on spark in the last couple of months. This pregnancy has changed a lot of factors for me mentally and physically, and I'm not sure where I'm going to land quite yet. Maybe soon I'll figure out that spark is where I need to be spending some more time and you'll see more out of me. :)
